Anna Chmiel, MOT, OTR

Occupational Therapist, Executive Director

  • Anna received her Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from Texas A&M University, and her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, TX.
  • Out of the clinic, Anna enjoys traveling the world and spending time outdoors with her family. She can usually be found chasing after her three young children at one of the many parks in town!

Kylie Lewis, MOT, OTR

Occupational Therapist

  • Kylie received her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Early Childhood Autism Intervention from the University of Kansas. She then received her Master’s of Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2021. Upon graduating, Kylie practiced in the school setting in Kansas before moving to Texas.
  • In her free time, Kylie enjoys playing sports, attending concerts and sporting events, binge watching shows, and discovering new restaurants.

Carly Paben, BA, PTA

Physical Therapy Assistant

  • Carly received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology from Concordia University in Austin, TX. She went on to receive an Associate’s degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Austin’s Community College in Austin, TX. Carly has been a member of the Mighty Kids team since we opened in 2014.
  • Carly is a true Texan, born, raised and proud of it! She enjoys crafting, watching movies, enjoying the great Mexican food Texas has to offer and above all spending time with family and friends.

Ariel Day, DPT

Physical Therapist

  • Ariel received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Abilene Christian University. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas.
  • Out of the clinic, Ariel can be found with her family and friends or snuggled up at home with her two pups, Boots and Stella. She enjoys reading, game nights, exploring new coffee shops, and doing CrossFit with her husband, Josh.

Ashlee Nealis, M.Ed., CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist, Clinical Director

  • Ashlee received her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology with honors from the University of Toledo in Toledo, OH. Upon graduating, Ashlee practiced in Virginia and Ohio in the school setting before moving to Texas.
  • Texas has been home to Ashlee, her husband, daughter, and twin boys since 2009. Ashlee and her family enjoy exploring the great outdoors with activities such as hiking, bike riding, and splish-splashing the hot summer days away with a good swim.

Fran Zurek, M.A., CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

  • Fran received her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Science and Master of Arts in Speech and Hearing Science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Champaign, IL. Fran practiced in Illinois in the pediatric setting before moving to Texas.
  • Fran lived in Illinois for 29 years and moved to Texas with her husband, dog, and three turtles. During her free time, Fran enjoys long walks, volunteering, and exploring restaurants trying new foods!.

Monika Griffel, MHS, CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

  • Monika received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Elmhurst College and her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Governor’s State University. Since graduating, Monika has worked with the pediatric population across various settings.
  • Monika was born and raised in Chicago, but is really enjoying all of the outdoor activities that Austin has to offer! On the weekends, you can find her exploring new trails with her husband and two dogs, or curled up on the couch watching movies with her cats.

Deborah Wells, MA, CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

  • Deborah received an Associate’s degree in Child Development, a Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders, and a Master’s degree in Speech Language Hearing Science, the latter two from San Diego State University in San Diego, CA. She joined the Mighty Kids team in 2014.
  • Out of therapy, Deborah enjoys going out to the lake with her family, water skiing or just taking the scenery in while strolling along the banks. When not at the lake you can find Deborah crocheting or sewing the day away.

Sandra Juarez

Administrative Director

  • Sandra was born and raised in Round Rock, Texas. She graduated from Round Rock High School in 2008.
  • As our admissions coordinator, Sandra coordinates care for all of our patients and ensures everything is running smoothly at Mighty Kids.
  • Out of the office, Sandra enjoys spending time with her family. She has three kiddos who keep her busy, and she loves it! When not spending time on the soccer field, they enjoy going to the pool, park, movies, Adventure Parks, or vacationing far away from home. They love to see the world and have a goal of visiting all 50 states in the US as well as many other countries!
